Are you interested in curling? Try the fun, social, and dynamic olympic sport of Curling at City View Club!

Event Date: April 13, 2025 - 3PM to 5PM

CVCC's Try Curling is the perfect way to experience curling for the first time. We provide brooms, sliders, delivery aids, delivery sticks; all you need to bring are clean running shoes and warm comfortable clothes. Helmets are recommended, and mandatory for kids under 12.

A trained coach will teach you the basics over two hours to get a taste of the sport.

Join us for a "Emergency First Aid Certification with CPR C and AED" course provided by Ottawa Paramedic Service on Saturday April 26. This will be an opportunity to learn life saving skills for both on and off the ice. Content will be geared to parents & individuals looking for a general level of first aid, CPR and the proper use of an AED.

Course content covers:

• Scene management and primary assessment
• Anatomy and physiology
• Adult, child and infant CPR and choking
• Automated external defibrillation (AED)
• Heart attack, angina, stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA)
• Bleeding and burns
• Sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures
• Respiratory (asthma), anaphylaxis, seizures and diabetes

This course is being offered on Saturday April 26 and Saturday May 3.

The course is 9 hours in length (9am to 5pm) with two fifteen minute breaks and one hour for lunch (bring your own food). 

NOTE: Course will be cancelled if there are fewer than 10 people registered by one week prior to the course.

NOTE: There is no refund once you have registered. You can transfer your seat to another person.
