2026-27 Membership Fees

Approved Membership Fee structure for the 2026-27 Curling season:

 What’s changing?

•         The Building Improvement Fee (introduced for the 25-26 season) to accommodate future capital costs associated with the building is being increased to reflect the recommendations of a CVCC engineering assessment report. This increase (to $65) per regular member will allow the club the necessary flexibility to address capital cost repairs / modifications in a proactive and responsible way going forward.
•         The Social Membership category has been eliminated.
•         A number of league configurations including times and formats have been changed - please read further.
•         Student discount has been increased to $65.

What’s not changing?

•         Recognizing the increase (from $10 to $65) of the Building Improvement Fee, most membership and league fees are being held unchanged at their 25-26 season levels.
•         Members who register for more than 3 leagues will continue to receive a 50% discount off league fees for their 4th, 5th, etc. leagues.

Registration Details:

To ensure your team’s spot for next season - all 4-person returning teams must have at least 3 members registered by noon on May 11th, 2026. For doubles teams – both members must be registered by the same date.

For this purpose, registration is defined as having completed the online registration process and having paid at least the Base Membership fee plus HST by noon on May 11th, 2026. All returning members who register before May 11th, 2026, will also receive a $25 early bird registration discount. This equates to a $265.55 minimum payment (including HST) for any returning adult member.

Please do not register for a new league without approval of the League Coordinator.

Three Membership Categories: 

(1) Regular Full Membership:

Base Membership Fee = $293.80 ($260 + HST)

(Note: $25 discount applied if the Base fee is paid before May 11th, 2026 - $265.55)

Association Fees (CurlON/CCA & OVCA & LCA) = $22.60 ($20 + HST)

+

Capital Fee = $73.45 ($65 + HST)

League Fee(s) as per below

Regular Full Membership Notes:

• A Regular Full Membership with at least one attached league registration allows a member to:
  • join other leagues at a later point by paying the applicable fees
  • spare in any Fixed Team league except Day Men & Friendly Fridays
  • be listed as a 5th/6th member in leagues that allow. 
  • participate in “internal” club events & bonspiel
  • book practice ice
  • represent CVCC in OCA/OVCA/LCA events
  • attend and vote in any general meeting of members.
• If a member registers for more than 3 leagues, they will receive a 50% discount off the league fee for the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. league.
• Where a team has 4 fully paid and registered members, other members can be added by the league coordinator as a fifth or sixth member at no charge, where allowed by that league. Please do NOT register online as a 5th or 6th member since you will be incorrectly charged; contact the league coordinator to be added. 

(2) Youth Membership (U20): (For members born after June 30th, 2006)

Base Membership Fee = $113.00 ($100 + HST)

Youth Membership Notes:

• A Youth Membership gives members under the age of 20 the ability to participate in the Sunday Youth leagues. Members who wish to play in Adult leagues must sign up as Adult members (where they may be eligible for the Student discount).
• Youth Members over the age of 14 may spare in Adult leagues provided that four fully paid Adult members have registered for the team in question.
• Further Youth membership benefits include participation in “internal” club events, the option to book practice ice, the ability to represent CVCC in OCA/OVCA/LCA events.
• Youth Members are not required to pay the Capital Fee. There is no early bird discount. Youth members are not eligible for the Student Discount.
• Youth members who register as an Adult in order to participate in an Adult league can optionally / additionally pay the league fees for the Sunday Youth programs. Reach out directly to the Membership coordinator to arrange this.

(3) Spare Membership:

Entitles the member to all benefits of payment of Regular Full Membership Category as noted above. A Spare Member can play in the place of a full member in any Fixed team league provided that team has four fully paid team members. Spare members are not permitted to play in leagues without Fixed team configurations (e.g. Day Men or Friendly Fridays).

Additional Fees or Discounts applicable:

• Early Registration Bonus = $25 discount if base membership fee is paid before May 11th, 2026.
• Late Payment Fee = $50 if all fees are not fully paid by September 11th, 2026.
• CVCC charges a $25 non-refundable fee upon cancellation or membership refund request.
• No cancellation/refunds after curling has begun on September 25th, 2026. Exceptions to the refund policy for medical reasons will be considered until October 31st, 2026. 
• Locker Fee = $67.80 ($60 + HST) (NOTE: Renewal fee or annual rental fee if available. Contact is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). Please do not pay for a “new” locker without approval of the House Chair.
• Full-time Student Discount = $65 (NOTE: Only applicable to Regular Full and Spare Membership)
